The Bill (Reg. No. 2477) defines legal principles of organization and activity of the associations of the local self-government bodies, their relations with the public authority and local self-government bodies.
Pursuant to the Bill, due to the status, the associations will be divided into the national and local. Activity of the national associations will aim at representation and protection of local and regional interests, rights of local self-government bodies in their relations with the public authority bodies. Local associations will be established to coordinate activities of the local self-government bodies of one or several regions of Ukraine concerning elaboration and implementation of certain projects and programs of socio-economic and cultural development of territorial communities.
